Level Bed and stepped walkway

At this project site, the existing landscaping had a leftward slant, and the homeowner desired a flatter landscape bed along with a pathway to the back patio. Our solution merged these requests seamlessly. A well-crafted walkway was integrated alongside the retaining wall we constructed, providing both access to the patio and the desired level upper landscape bed. This dual-purpose design not only addressed the grading concern but also added a functional and aesthetic pathway to enhance the overall appeal of the front of the house.

from the client:

"We built our home in Valpo and moved into it in December 2021. Our plan is to be in it for a while and really wanted to make the most of the yard and walkout basement. We had several local landscaping companies provide us with bids but after much research we decided to go with Creekside. Their professionalism was fantastic. Mike met with me and used his drone to get real time aerial footage of our yard. Google maps didn't have updated photos and only depicted a vacant lot.

We connected with their designer Cindy, who produced an unbelievable comprehensive plan of plants and hardscaping for us and worked with us to fine tune it. We started in late fall of 2022 but a good number of plants were not available at the nursery at that time of year. We made some changes with Mike, adding a retaining wall in the backyard and several extra lights in the landscaping beds. No problems doing so!
Our neighbors have stopped by and complimented the quality of the work. One is currently working with Creekside to do his house plan. Several offered that they wished that they would have known about Creekside. On a side note, three of those neighbors used three different companies, all of which we had out for bids and opted not to go with them.
